The remarkable story of outsider artist and movie projectionist Gordon Brinckle (1915-2007) and the fully operational movie palace that he created in his basement over the course of 50 years. This project includes a book, as well as a traveling exhibition consisting of Messick’s photographs, Brinckle’s works on paper, and the actual theatre itself, which also serves as the magical venue for Messick’s documentary film about Brinckle.
